Led by experienced media professionals with a successful track record of partnering with content producers and rights owners, and launched in early 2020, SynProNize embodies next-generation distribution and production companies.
SynProNize continues to leverage its strong industry network to license a variety of premium television and film content from stellar production partners such as Viacom18, Geo Network, MBC Studios, ATV, GMA, Global Agency, and others from South Asia, Africa and the Middle East,
SynProNize co-funds, and engages in, an active acquisition strategy and also has multiple productions in development.

TEAM MEMBERS
Nitin Michael is the Founder and Managing Director of SynProNize where he develops film and television productions and handles strategic partnerships for the company’s global distribution arm. Named as a MIPTV Producer to Watch (March 2020), Nitin has been very active in the global media industry for 15 years managing content licensing, channel distribution and production. Working in India, Dubai and China, Nitin gained senior level industry contacts and market intelligence with a focus on MEA, Pakistan, Turkey and APAC. Prior to launching SynProNize, Nitin worked for Indian broadcast giant, Zee Entertainment Enterprises LTD. (ZEEL) for 13 years as well at India’s Times Group. At ZEEL’s Dubai office, Nitin rose to Regional Sales Head & Vice President of MEA, Turkey & Pakistan where he grew the syndication business in the region and made it one of the highest contributing markets to the overall revenue pie. He also handled multiple co-production deals in both the Middle East and in Africa, working with major broadcasters such as MBC, Etisalat, Dubai TV, Geo TV, ARY, Hum TV, Royal Media Group, SABC, Multichoice, Multimedia Group, RTI (Ivory Coast) and various others. Nitin spent two years at ZEEL’s Hong Kong office where he maximized channel reach and revenue through distribution of Zee’s TV channels. At the Times Group, as Head of Content Sales, he established ZoOm Entertainment Network’s presence as the number one source for specialty Bollywood content for the global market. Nitin holds an MBA in Marketing from India’s University of PUNE (PUMBA). Nitin is fluent in English, Arabic, Hindi and Malayalam. In June 2021, Nitin was elected as a Member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the International Emmy Award organization.
Hasnaa Descuns, is the Founder & COO of SynProNize where she oversees all their content monetization efforts. Prior to launching SynProNize, Hasnaa worked for Indian broadcast giant, Zee Entertainment Enterprises LTD. (ZEEL) as Senior Manager of Syndication for MEA and Turkey, where she was responsible for licensing their content and working with local broadcasters to remake formats. During her time there she was responsible for growing the syndication revenues for the company specially from Africa exponentially. She worked with major broadcaster and platforms such as Multichoice, StarTimes, Royal Media Group, Multimedia Group, IROKO, Antenne Reunion, RTI, Kanal7, MBC, Etisalat. Prior to working in the media industry, Hasnaa had a long and successful career in retail management in Paris, France working with some of the industry’s leading brands Morgan Company, Comptoir des Cotonniers and Gap Inc. where she gained major business development, marketing, customer service and people management skills. She holds a degree in Management of Business Units, Business Administration and Management. Hasnaa is fluent in French, Arabic and English.
Raju Venkataraman is a commercially astute leader, with a successful track record in strategy, commercial & financial leadership, in Media & Entertainment businesses across the Asia-Pacific. He has proven expertise in business partnership, strategy development & execution, deal negotiations & an in-depth understanding of Asia-Pacific region’s media and broadband markets. He worked at The Walt Disney Company for 16 years performing senior roles such as Vice-President, Pay TV Distribution for the Asia-Pacific region, CFO & Head of Strategy for all lines of business for South East Asia, and General Manager, Disney Consumer Products for South East Asia. Prior to working in Disney, Raju spent over 13 years in various commercial leadership roles in a variety of industries – Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Garments, Personal Computers and Cellular Telephony. At the end of 2016, Raju left the corporate world, reinventing himself as an Executive Coach & Career Coach for Senior industry leaders, empowering them to succeed amidst disruption and coaching them to achieve their potential. He has a successful track record as a coach, advising leaders from Oracle, ExxonMobil, AngloAmerican, Commerzbank, ANZ, Credit Suisse, PayPal, MasterCard, Rockwell Automation, LyondellBasell, LafargeHolcim, Roche, J&J, Turner Broadcasting, Collins Aerospace (among others) helping them grow in their career and leadership journey. Raju also takes on select advisory projects for companies in the Media and Entertainment Industry.
Prasad has more than 15 years of experience in sales and business development in both domestic and international markets. What sets him apart is his involvement in working in multiple industries (M&E and BFSI). His Master’s in business management along with Law, has helped him in understanding of business management and legal disciplines across a variety of sectors.
He has a proven track record of working with top-tier clients and agencies and generating advertising sales revenue across national and international markets and platforms – TV, Radio (ATL) Ground Activation (BTL) – OTT (Digital). Currently, he represents SynProNize FZ LLC in a Global content sales role.
Sidhesh is the Associate Director of Operations & Acquisitions for SynProNize where he has been involved in major content licensing deals as well as managing the content operations’ division. Prior to working with SynProNize, he worked at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) for nearly 7 years in a variety of roles, last as a Senior Manager of Sales, Content Licensing for MENAP & Africa negotiating deals and dealing with contracts. Sidhesh started his career first at Times of Money and then Razorfish in client services before ZEEL.
MJ Sorenson is Founder & CEO of MJ Global Communications LLC (MGC). Established in 2011, MGC advises broadcast and production companies on global marketing and communication strategy. MGC’s portfolio includes SynProNize, CITVC/CCTV China, Zee TV India, Something Special Korea, GRB Studios U.S., Master Peace Egypt, et. al. Prior to launching MGC, MJ was Executive Director, North American Sales at entertainment event company, Reed Midem, managing clients such as Lionsgate, NBC Universal, Disney, et.al. She began her career at MTV Networks holding international programming and marketing management roles, and was on the launch team of MTV Networks Europe in London. From MTVN, she went on to become head of the international marketing division at the prestigious International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, producer of the International Emmy Awards, where as Director of Marketing & Communications for 7 years, she oversaw global communications and marketing strategy. She was a media spokesperson at global events; procured celebrity talent and managed over 100 international journalists for 8 International Emmy Galas. MJ was elected as Vice President of Communications at New York Women in Film & Television; and has given television Format Master Classes in Beijing and Seoul. She holds a B.A. in Communications from the New School University in New York City.
